A double strike from Dougie Imrie gave Clyde 3 points in their 2-0 victory over Queen of the South - and revenge for their CIS cup exit on the same ground a month ago.
Manager Joe Miller was delighted with the win and stressed; "It takes us to 5 games unbeaten and we are beginning to shoot up the league."
There was little between the teams and the opening 20 minutes with Queens having the bulk of possession but no real threat.
Then on 23 minutes Clyde forced their first corner and it resulted in their breakthrough. An in swinging kick from Eddie Malone went straight to Imrie who out jumped everyone else to send a powerful header into the back of the net.
Clyde could have added another when Jim Lockland was short with a pass back to his keeper who just managed to take it away from the seat of the inrushing striker.
Queens were handy capped on the half hour when they lost central defender Murray Henderson following a tackle.
Just before the break Craig Bryson was unlucky with a shot which beat the Dumfries keeper but found Scott McKenzie clearing off the line.
Clyde continued to dominate and in one period of the second half it was only a tremendous double save by keeper Barry-John Corr that kept Clyde out as he stopped a shot from Bryson and then the follow up from Malone.
Imrie sealed the points 11 minutes from time when he ran on to a misplaced pass by Dermott McCaffrey to stear the ball well away from the keeper.
Queen of the South manager Ian McCall was downhearted and said; "This was the worst display since I came here as manager - it was embarressing."
